Novelty: Winforce Vegan Protein

The topic of "vegan nutrition in sports" or "vegan protein" has been a hot topic in the industry for several years. "Vegan" is a real trendy term when it comes to healthy and ethical nutrition. The topic tends to be taken up more by women in society, but vegetable protein is consumed by all people, consciously or unconsciously, when they eat rice, soy or nuts, for example.

Surprisingly, the Swiss manufacturers of sports nutrition have hardly taken up the topic yet. At Burgerstein or Isostar, for example, we did not find anything about "vegan". All the more pleasing that the central Swiss supplier Winforce has now launched a product on the market, the Winforce Vegan Protein. The protein obtained from lupins, sunflowers and a vegan amino acid mixture from source corn (L-glutamine, L-threonine, L-leucine, L-lysine) has a protein content of 66% according to the manufacturer. In terms of taste, it is more suitable as an addition to soups or shakes, of course, you can also dissolve it in water, in which case the mocha variant is more suitable, which offers a slightly bitter mocha finish, while the neutral variant is more reminiscent of hay or similar. Those who prefer to use vegetable proteins for reasons of tolerance or nutritional ethics will now find one of the very few Swiss products at Winforce.

Winforce ambassador Céline Gehret, 4-time Swiss champion and multiple participant in the ISA World Surfing Games with the Swiss team, therefore also uses the shakes from her home country overseas. "The Vegan Protein is the ideal supplement to my daily protein intake and helps me not to break down muscularly, especially when I spend hours in the water for training and shoots and don't really get to eat," says the ambitious professional surfer, who has been eating a vegetarian diet for 25 years for animal ethics reasons.
