G3 SEEKr: The new green from Canada

The dimensions alone make it clear that the Canadian manufacturer has geared its design to Canadian winter conditions. The new SEEKr is the lightest model in the G3 family and is suitable for touring enthusiasts who want a maneuverable and extremely stable ski under their feet.

100 mm and more center width under the binding is a lot by European standards. It is therefore not surprising that many European manufacturers and manufacturers oriented to Europe offer touring skis that do well with center widths around 80 mm. Anyone who thinks of the immense snow landscapes of Canada and the famous heliskiing will understand that skiing in Canada - as in the USA, by the way - is understood somewhat differently than in Europe. Above all, the understanding of offsite fun is much higher than in European climes. It is therefore not surprising that the new SEEKr, which is touted as a performance touring ski, gets by with a center width of 100-110 mm. For Canadians and Americans alike, touring automatically includes backcountry fun.

Lightweight and maneuverable
Despite its width, the SEEKr is very light, especially in comparison with its competitors, yet it is extremely stable and very maneuverable. At the same time, the poplar-paulownia wood core ensures the low base weight of the ski model. The double titanium insert above the core, which is also significantly wider than on the touring model FINDr, ensures power, precision and the damping character of the ski. The new SEEKr also uses the new PolyUrethane sidewalls, which absorb shocks quite extremely and provide high running smoothness and good damping. The surprisingly small radii give the new member of the G3 family a maneuverability that is rare. G3 also offers the new ZED touring binding. Tourers who want to conquer demanding climbs with ease and then surf through adventurous deep snow landscapes are perfectly equipped with the new SEEKr.
