K2 Konic/iKonic: New ski core concept in the new all-mountain line

K2 launches this winter a new line of models that have a new ski core concept: The IKonic or Konic models. The K2 Konic technology is so named because of its conical shape of its ski core. It uses a dense core on the sides of the ski, whereas a lightweight core is used in the center of the ski. Since the dense core tapers towards the ends of the ski, but is widest in the middle of the ski, a conical shape is created towards the ends of the ski. Konic technology improves edge grip, stability and power transfer when swinging near the edges and reduces swing weight in the middle, making it easier to swing. Refined!

Existing K2 strengths incorporated
K2 is one of the leading brands in the field of all-mountain skis. When other brands were still hesitant, K2 launched revolutionary rocker technologies in the market and ensured their successful distribution. Of course, the iKonic / Konic models are equipped with a typical K2 rocker for easier turning and lift in soft snow. Individual models are additionally equipped with metal laminate, which provides superior damping, stability, torsional stiffness as well as uncompromising performance, and Triaxial Braiding for a more forgiving ski. The new models promise pure fun on and off the slopes. More info at www.sportguide.ch or at www.k2skis.com.
