K2 Ski 2015/16

AMP

Slope

AMP is an acronym for the term "All Mountain Performance" and last winter included the entire all-mountain model line, which is designed for use on the "whole" mountain so on and off the slopes. In this regard, the models "Bolt, Charger and Velocity" are designed for good performance on hard slopes and are equipped with a "speed" rocker. On the new winter, exactly these three performance models are left and are attributed to their sporty orientation of the slope. The three models are characterized by excellent gliding properties and super maneuverability on soft snow.

iKonic / Konic

Allmountain men

For years, K2 has been a leader in the all-mountain sector and in the early days was one of the pioneers who popularized rocker technology in the market. K2 was a driving force when it came to making all-mountain skis with rocker palatable to a broad mass, when no one wanted to know anything about it. All of K2's rocker technologies are simply top-notch. This winter, K2 expands its all-mountain range with the iKonic or Konic models, which feature revolutionary technology. Special to the story is the concept of the ski core, which is lighter in the middle of the ski and denser and heavier on the outer sides, which should improve stability, control and power transmission in the turn and improve turn initiation due to the lighter ski center. In this regard, the "iKonic" models have a wood core, while the "Konic" models have a composite core. Year after year, K2 delivers impressive advancements for the enjoyment of skiers.

Pinnacle

Freeride Herren

When it comes to freeriding, the K2 brand is one of the first places to turn to find a hevorragenden ski in this category. This winter K2 introduces the new line Pinnacle with three models that have a flat, elongated rocker on the shovel and tail of the ski. Excitingly, these models also feature the new Konic technology like the all-mountain models. Two models have a super-light composite core - NANOlite technology - from space technology with lower density, which facilitate the swing-in. In the side area, the strong wood core provides edge grip and stability. They look great, are equipped with cutting-edge technology and guarantees surfing through the powder with a high fun factor, what more do freeriders want!

Shreditor

Freeride Herren

K2 is a brand that puts a lot of emphasis on fun and experience on the mountain, with classic alpine ski racing, the American manufacturer has not much to do. Therefore, K2 is very strong in the areas of all-mountain, freeride and touring. In addition to the Pinnacle model line, K2 holds the Shreditor line for freeriders, which was already in the range last year. The line has been reduced by the model with 136 mm center width, which is still available in the American market. Like TwinTip skis, the skis are relatively rockered (bent up) at the front and back, which facilitates maneuvering in deep snow and is of great benefit during jumps and when skiing backwards. This line is aimed at freeriders who are not afraid of anything and love the thrill.

The counterpart to the male AMP model range in the piste-oriented all-mountain segment is represented in winter 2015/16 by the two Luv models "Luv Machine" and "Tainted Luv". As the leading brand when it comes to all-mountain skis and rocker technology, K2 has been quick to bring to market women's skis that are equally suited to women's anatomy and technologically on par with those for men. A new women's ski designed for this winter, the Channel Light Core, illustrates that K2 places a lot of emphasis on the highest level of technology in women's skis as well. The two models are made for the racy female skier who is at home on the slopes. The skis are fast, precise and glide gracefully even on soft snow.
