K2 Backside
K2 is a brand that puts a lot of emphasis on fun and experience on the mountain, with classic alpine ski racing has the American manufacturer currently not much to do. Therefore, K2 is very strong in the areas of all-mountain, freeride and touring. The touring ski range from K2 is correspondingly appealing and high quality. One is not astonished when one realizes how much sophisticated technology is in the touring skis from K2. The wide range of last winter has been retained and appeal to classic ski tourers, the wider models are designed for deep snow adventurers. They are very light and thanks to snow-repellent surface ensure that they do not become involuntarily heavier when ski touring. With the models Wayback 82 "ECOre" comes a new model to it as the starting point of a new generation of touring skis, which has a core of balsa wood and flax fiber, saving 10% weight.

All terrain rocker
As the name suggests, this type of rocker from K2 stands for use in all types of terrain. The All-Terrain Rocker™ has a slightly raised shovel for optimum performance in variable and soft snow and enough preload under the binding for plenty of precision and edge grip on icy slopes and hard snow.
Snophobic cover sheet
Even an ultra-light touring ski does not save weight if heavy snow sticks to its surface. K2 has therefore developed "SnoPhobic", a new snow-repellent surface made from a thin base material. By waxing the surface, the snow-repellent effect can be further enhanced.
Torsion Box
The Torsion Box construction is the basis for a wide range of skis developed by K2. . Due to its extreme versatility, the Torsion Box construction can be used for all models from entry-level to professional skis. All Torsion Box skis share basic characteristics such as easy handling, fault tolerance, turning ability and dynamics.
Carbon web
In models with this technology, the MOD structure is wrapped with a carbon mesh. The precise arrangement of the carbon strands gives the ski extra torsional stiffness where it is needed, while keeping the overall weight low.
Cap construction
"Cap" skis are manufactured using a sophisticated compression molding method in which the top layer of the ski envelops the core and internal materials. Cap skis are basically very durable and lightweight, which is why this technology is used in all series. Depending on the composition of the core material layers result in the different riding characteristics of each model.
Powder Tip
The rocker provides lift, so this does not require an enlarged shovel surface in the conventional style. In the K2 PowderTip, the widest part of the shovel has been moved further back. This gives it lift in soft snow, but at the same time keeps the track safely in adverse snow conditions.
Hybritech sidewall
Hybritech is the unique combination of a sidewall and a cap construction. It combines the precision, power and performance of a sidewall under the binding with the lightness and smooth turn initiation of a cap construction.
Skin Grommets
All Adventure Skis have multifunctional holes in the shovel and ski end. In addition to the possibility of attaching skins, the holes serve as attachment points when building rescue sleds or various snow anchors. This saves material and therefore weight and gives additional safety in the terrain.
