Brazil shines in the first half of the game with the most beautiful goal of the World Cup so far: a dream goal into the cross of the Swiss goal. Switzerland may not hold anything back, although they also play dangerously close to the Brazilian goal again and again, but in front of the goal they get nothing done: fortunately for all Brazil fans.
Arrogant laziness of Brazilians
Nobody is asking Brazil to win, but to lie back and take it easy after the quick 1:0 against Switzerland is clearly going too far. This is not a training game, but a game at a World Cup. The way the Brazilians took it easy after the 1:0 and felt too safe clearly speaks for laziness, minimalism and arrogance and is not worthy of a World Cup team. The goal conceded by Switzerland, which came from a corner and head shot, was a deserved damper. Only when the Brazilians realized that they were in danger of not winning towards the end of the match, they started their assault on the Swiss goal too late. Suddenly chance after chance lined up, although Neymar also always took far too much time to pass. So Switzerland deservedly played 1:1 against Brazil. Switzerland had convinced with an efficient and clever passing game. The Brazilians were clearly technically superior, but their comfort and their feeling of having the victory already secured after the first goal was consequently punished by the conceded goal. The Brazilians' honest effort to win came too late.
