Dynastar Speedzone : Equipped with the new Powerdrive "suspension".

It is clear to anyone with even half an ounce of understanding that a racing car needs a well-tuned suspension to ensure optimum road holding. Without suspension, a racing car would be thrown off the road if it was hit. In the case of skis, humans still do most of the suspension today. Now Dynastar has developed the Powerdrive technology, which builds a kind of suspension into the sporty skis.

What's good for a racing ski can't be bad for a carving ski. According to this motto, the incorporation of the new "Powerdrive" technology in both the current racing skis and the new carving skis from Dynastar is understood. "Speedzone" is the name of Dynastar's new carving line, replacing the previous Chrome models, which were already aesthetically convincing. The design adapts to the design concept of this winter, while the transition from the racing skis to the Speedzone models is quite fluid: sporty, dynamic, powerful. As already mentioned, the carving skis have also been further developed technologically. First and foremost is the new Powerdrive technology.

Powerdrive technology
Powerdrive technology is a vertical sidewall with sandwich construction, which consists of three materials. The innermost layer is a viscoelastic layer that works as a suspension and absorbs disturbing vibrations. The middle layer is made of titanal. It optimizes energy transmission and increases performance. The outer layer is the ABS part, which makes contact with the snow. What is new is that the quality of this contact is maintained in the best possible way, even in the event of impacts, uneven terrain, etc. The effect is impressive: the ski is more comfortable, supple and powerful, it eliminates unwanted reactions and optimizes control. "Without Powerdrive, it's like driving an old car down a country road at 220 kilometers per hour, which is uncomfortable and dangerous," says Jean-Frédéric Chapuis, 2013 World Ski Cross Champion and 2014 Olympic Champion, about Powerdrive technology.

All models also have the tip rocker in common. The slight rocker (= bend) on the shovel provides an easier turn initiation, without reducing the sporty character of the ski too much.

A total of 8 models are available to interested skiers, which differ from each other in various respects such as the appearance, the dimensions (lengths, radii, waist, center width), the construction, the ski core and the materials used. In this way, everyone has the opportunity to choose a model that best suits their needs.

One thing is certain: anyone who chooses a Speedzone model is looking for action, speed and control on the slopes. He will also find a suspension that he has not known until now.
