Serfaus continues to expand the trail network

The vacation region of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, which is located in close proximity to the Swiss border, has been geared towards family vacations for years. Young families should spend their skiing vacations there in winter and in summer hike, bike or have fun in the fun and adventure park. Serfaus has had its own biking website for some time now, especially for biking enthusiasts. With the season opening on June 8, 2018, Serfaus now also inaugurates three new single trails: The Scheidtrail, the Flüstertrail and the Zirbentrail.

Single trails are the ultimate for many mountain bikers. There is nothing better than to be on a narrow path with the bike in the golden hours of the day, to enjoy the view of the high alpine mountain world and to step on the gas. Now, with the opening of the season, three new trails are opened: With the Scheidtrail, Flüstertrail and Zirbentrail, beginners and families as well as advanced bikers can enjoy the single trail fun.

The Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis family region is keen to create opportunities for beginners of all ages to try out mountain biking. With the Scheidtrail the region has succeeded in expanding the single trail offer for bike rookies and families. At an altitude of 2,313 m, it offers exactly what beginners want: great views and riding fun without having to leave the comfort zone right away. Even the start on the summit of the Lazid offers a breathtaking view of the majestic rock formations and on a clear day it is possible to see as far as the Italian border area. A few hundred meters from the Lazidbahn mountain station, the Scheidtrail winds 2.3 kilometers down the mountain and reaches its lowest point at 2,099 meters.
The playful course is laid out rather flat and includes fun Northshore elements that are ideal for gaining your first experience on the bike. The features and specially shaped hills are easy to roll over. This allows mountain bike beginners to already enjoy the flow. At the end of the Scheidtrails you can join the new Komperdell Lassida Tour. Once you arrive in Komperdell, you can treat yourself to a snack in one of the surrounding mountain huts before taking the Lazidbahn back to the starting point.

About the Whisper Trail will be particularly enjoyed by mountain bikers who like the challenges of natural trails. The rather demanding single trail starts at Schönjoch at an altitude of 2,433 meters. The high alpine trail entrance offers riders an impressive mountain panorama right at the beginning. The fantastic trail leads MTB fans over a distance of 2.1 kilometers 343 meters in altitude down to rustic wooden huts. But before you can relax in the sun on the hammocks of the Heustadel village, some steep and stony trail sections are waiting to get your pulse racing. You have to be careful that your eyes don't wander from the trail into the mountains, because the view of the surrounding valleys like the Inntal is unique.
At 2,095 meters you then reach the hay barn village, the perfect place for a short rest. Here you can enjoy the sun on the pasture or have a snack in the shade of the wooden huts before you get back on your bike to discover the other trails of the family region Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, such as the flowing Zirbentrail, which joins the end of the Flüstertrail.

The flowing Zirbentrail is a single trail at an altitude of 2,072m that takes mountain bikers in the family region of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis from the Zirbenhütte on the north side of Fiss through a pine forest (Zirbenwald) to the Schöngampalm. Marked as a blue trail, it is ideal for beginners who will enjoy roll-over features and the relatively wide trail. Nevertheless, there are no limits to the creativity of advanced riders, as northshore elements, double waves and mini-tables spark a fair amount of riding pleasure even among experienced mountain bikers. Due to the coordinated inclinations of the numerous berms and playful waves, a diverse choice of lines is possible.
During the ride, the Zirbentrail offers a magnificent view. The view of the Northern Limestone Alps mountain range is one of the most impressive on the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis plateau. As you roll down past the mountains to 1,890 m, the numerous and varied features will delight you. Once at the bottom, the Schöngampalm provides thirsty and hungry mountain bikers with traditional Tyrolean cuisine in a rustic and cozy atmosphere. At the alpine pasture, it is subsequently possible to get to the Zwölferkopf via the Almbahn. From there you can make your way back to Schönjoch, where both the Frommestrail and the Flüstertrail have their starting points.
