K2 Ski models 2017/18

Charger

Slope

The successful "Charger" line will continue in 2017/18. The models are fast, precise, grippy on icy slopes and glide elegantly on soft snow once it has snowed overnight. K2 fans who are into piste, grab a Charger model.

iKonic / Konic

Allmountain men

The Konic/iKonic models have been massively revised for this winter: The shape has been revised, the models up to 80 mm center width have received the new Exo Konic structure in the binding area and the two highest quality models have been equipped with 35% more metal inserts. What has remained the same is the Konic technology, the special design of the ski core, which is lighter in the middle of the ski and denser and heavier on the outer sides, improving stability, control and power transmission in the turn and improving turn initiation due to the lighter ski center. The models are now even more grippy, nippy and stronger.

Pinnacle

Freeride men

2 years ago, K2 introduced the Pinnacle line to the market with three models that feature a flat, elongated rocker on the shovel and tail of the ski. Excitingly, these models also feature the new Konic technology (see Allmountain models). Three models today feature a super-light composite core - NANOlite technology - from space technology with lower density, which facilitate the swing-in. In the side area, the strong wood core provides edge grip and stability. After last year's addition of the 88 model, 2017/18 sees the addition of the Pinnacle 85, a freeride ski for the slopes. The good look, the surf shape and the sophisticated technology provide powerful fun on and off the slopes. Fun surfing, what more do freeriders want!

Factory Team

Freeride/Freestyle Men

The freestyle and freeride models of the Factory team were merged this season. In the process, the Pontoon model was taken from the Pinnacle series and used here. Depending on the discipline, the team riders ride one of the massive freeride boards to tackle the depths of the powder, or one of the playful TwinTip models to cut a good figure on obstacles in the park.

Wayback

Tours men

The Wayback touring models have also undergone some adjustments to the new winter. On the one hand, the wide Coomba model with 114 mm center width has been eliminated. On the other hand, the narrowest model with 74 mm center width has now also been provided with an ECOre wood core made of balsa wood and flax. K2 is therefore still one of the market leaders in touring skis.

Luv Precision

Piste ladies

The counterpart to the men's Charger models on the slopes are also this winter the two Luv models "Luv Machine" and "OneLuv". Here, a Bioflex wood core made of fir wood on the sides and the lightweight Paulownia wood and bendable bamboo in the middle is also used in 2017/18. The Luv Machine model adds titanal inserts above and below the ski core, while the OneLuv model adds fiberglass wrapping around the ski core. The Speed Rocker provides the sporty character. Both models are made for female skiers who are sporty on the slopes.

Luv Allmountain

Allmountain ladies

This year's series is supplemented by the wider model OoolaLuv with 85 mm center width. Now there are thus 3 wider models with wood core and various reinforcements against three simpler models with composite core. Ladies with higher demands naturally choose one of the higher quality models. In addition to the shape, the all-terrain rocker also ensures suitability on hard slopes as well as on soft ground. The versatile women's ski with all-mountain desires.

Windward Freeride

Freeride ladies

To the three sophisticated models with high quality technology for freeride ladies who want to enjoy powder rides, joins this winter new model "ThrilLUVit" with a center width of only 85 mm and a little more modest equipment. Now the ladies also have a model for use on the slopes with surf character.

Factory Women

TwinTip ladies

Last year's Remedy Freeride collection was abandoned in favor of the Luv Freeride series, the freestyle series reduced to two models: Missconduct and Empress. The Empress model is a distinct park model, while the Missconduct model is at home in the park as well as in deep snow. For skiers who are dedicated to the park and a playful use of the skis, K2 provides the Factory Women collection. The Twin Tip skis are strong in reverse, jumps and landings.

Talkback

Tours ladies

K2 continues in the touring sector what already existed last winter, namely the Talkback line. The line was taken over completely, only the design or the cover sheet was changed. The super-light touring skis accommodate women touring and yet offer very good downhill characteristics.
