Giro d'Italia 2014 - 10th stage : Modena - Salsomaggiore Terme (173km)

The 173 km long flat stage from Modena to Salsomaggiore Terme was unspectacular on Tuesday. Surprising was on the one hand the mass crash before a sharp right turn about 650 meters before the finish. And on the other, Frenchman Nacer Bouhanni surprised with his third victory. Although it looked as if the Italian Giacomo Nizzolo would win, Bouhanni decided the sprint for himself. Michael Matthews finished third.
