Evelyn Stevens: Shooting Star

Female professional cyclists are hardly known among the general population, they are not known, after all, media rarely report about them, big media certainly not. Only die-hard fans and professionals know the female cycling stars. This is also the case with Evelyn Stevens. The American is currently ranked 5th in the UCI world rankings, and that alone is a good reason to take a look behind the scenes and find out who she really is and what her story is.

From banker to professional cyclist
And indeed, Evelyn Stevens' story is an unusual one. Born in Claremont, California, Evie grew up the youngest of five children in Acton, Massachusetts, and played a wide variety of sports. While in college in Darmouth, New Hampshire, she played tennis on the college team and studied politics and gender studies. After graduating in 2005, she got a job at Lehmann Brothers in New York, working as an investment banker in an environment of maximum wealth. Actually a typical career start for a banker and manager, which was connected with a nice life.
