A paradise for bikers

In Trentino fantastic trails await all cyclists

God seems to mean it particularly well with some spots of the earth. Beautiful landscapes, delicious culinary delights and Mediterranean climate contribute to the fact that Trentino also falls into this category. The region between the Dolomites and Lake Garda is a true paradise for bikers with its versatile trails. Whether bike tours, downhill or freeride - the varied routes inspire professionals and beginners alike. For those who prefer a more enjoyable approach, numerous e-bike offers allow for relaxed exploration tours.

The alpine-Mediterranean Trentino comes up trumps for bikers with that certain something extra. Because from the Dolomites to Lake Garda, the northern Italian region offers varied routes, delicious regional cuisine and excellent accommodations. After an active day on the trail, bike fans stroll through the historic alleys and enjoy a aperitivo in the piazza.

Extensive route network and range of services
The route network for mountain bikers covers over 1,700 kilometers, is closely meshed and exemplarily signposted. Three tourist areas of Trentino - around Lake Garda in the south, the Brenta group in the west and the Lagorai chain in the east - also score with special route concepts: they offer services geared to the needs of mountain bikers, such as GPS data and maps, guided tours, luggage transport, workshops and bike hotels, as well as an attractive cultural program.

In the south: Mountain & Garda Bike
In the Alto Garda region the network of routes extends Mountain & Garda Bike over the areas of Alto Garda, Val di Ledro, Rovereto and Vallagarina, Trento, Monte Bondone and Valle dei Laghi. The signposted circular route, which can also be ridden in sections, has a total length of over 200 kilometers, half of which runs on gravel roads and overcomes a total of 10,000 meters in altitude. It connects all the highlights of the bike region - including the classics Tremalzo and Altissimo. In Riva del Garda, bikers have been starting the season on the first weekend in May for more than 20 years and celebrate the legendary Bike Festival including a trade fair and parties.

In the West: Dolomiti Brenta Bike
On the stage round trip Dolomiti Brenta Bike bikers explore the breathtaking scenery of the Brenta Dolomites, experience new adventures in the saddle every day and get to know the culture, tradition and customs of the region. Sporty bikers circumnavigate the spectacular massif on the 171-kilometer "Expert" route with 7,700 meters of altitude. Beginners, connoisseurs and families with sporty kids choose the "Country" route with 136 kilometers and 4,600 meters of altitude. Along the way, the insatiable can let off steam on six "Explorer" routes. The tours connect the areas of Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo/Val Rendena, Paganella, Val di Non and Val di Sole.

In the East: Dolomiti Lagorai Bike
Spectacular, varied and adventurous is the route network of Dolomiti Lagorai Bike. The advertised tours lead over 1,000 kilometers through the unspoiled nature of eastern Trentino, past the peaks of the Lagorai range and the Latemar group, with a total elevation gain of 10,470 meters. They pass through the valleys of Val di Fassa, Val di Fiemme, San Martino di Castrozza, Valsugana and Altopiano di Pinè/Cembra. This region also offers various downhill trails and e-bike offers.

Across the plateaus of Folgaria, Lavarona and Lusérn and the Tour "100 km dei Forti
Hard-core mountain bikers have known it for a long time: the Alpe Cimbra is a real Italian treat where neither flowing trails nor history, culture and enjoyment are neglected. The bike route stretches over 100 kilometers "100 km dei Forti" and on partly old military trails through wild mountain scenery, through forests and meadows, past silent witnesses of the First World War.

The tour is well signposted and leads only about 10 kilometers on asphalt, otherwise gravel roads lead through varied landscape. The tour is divided into three routes: 52.5 kilometers on the Folgaria plateau, 23.95 kilometers on the Lavarone plateau and 26.48 kilometers near Lusérn. These well-known routes also host international cycling races such as the "1000 Grobbe Bike". Still not enough? Then the Bike Park Lavarone beckons, which fulfills the wishes and demands of all downhillers.
