Transa has expanded Lucerne branch

Transa Travel & Outdoor has remodeled and expanded its branch in Lucerne to mark its 40th anniversary. The travel and outdoor specialist now also offers a range of biking, mountain sports and touring skis. Customers will also benefit from new product testing areas and extended opening hours. An opening party with special offers, free services and food stand will be held from June 8 to 10, 2017.

For its 40th anniversary, Transa has doubled the size of its branch at Pfistergasse 23 in Lucerne to 1,000 square meters and completely renovated it. In the process, the specialist for travel and outdoor has also integrated the inner courtyard and installed a bouldering wall. In this vertical, customers can try out climbing shoes in the store and test their suitability. There is also a new light tester for the right choice of headlamp and flashlight, as well as a tent exhibition. "Until now, we were the smallest of Transa's six main stores. After the renovation, Lucerne is the third largest store after Zurich and Basel," says branch manager Andi Lütolf happily, adding: "We're also extending our opening hours and are already there for our customers from nine o'clock."

Following the motto "40 years of Transa, 40 years properly equipped", the retailer is at the same time expanding the range with a bike, mountain sports and touring ski department as well as the offer with an enlarged shoe selection and an Arc'teryx special area. With the reopening, Transa has hired additional sales consultants. Now 24 employees take care of the personal consultation: They explain the product to the customer in detail and point out its area of application. Because with the right material - and knowing how to use it correctly - every adventure, no matter how small, is much more fun.

Opening ceremony with free services
The new Transa store will open on June 8, 2017 at Pfistergasse 23 in Lucerne. As part of the three-day opening celebration, customers will benefit from 30 percent discounts on selected brand products. At the same time, the Transa store features various service stations where customers can upgrade their own equipment: for example, defective clothing of all brands can be mended at the Patagonia repair stand, G-1000 clothing can be re-waxed at the Fjällräven waxing station, and luggage tags can be produced under supervision at the Arc'teryx workshop. In addition, orthopedic shoemaker Odilo Brigger will be on hand in the expanded shoe department to provide advice and assistance to ensure a perfectly fitting shoe. This service will be continued regularly on Tuesdays.
