New sales management at the Winora Group

Joost van Schaik succeeds Steffen Alberth
On October 1, Joost van Schaik officially takes over as Head of Sales for the brands in the D-A-CH region. He replaces Steffen Alberth, who is leaving the company at his own request after 22 years.

Since 1997, Steffen Alberth was at home in the sales department of Winora-Staiger GmbH and was most recently responsible for the sales organization of the Accell D-A-CH region. As Sales Director D-A-CH, he most recently managed the sales organization for the brands Haibike, Winora, Ghost, Lapierre, Koga as well as the E. Wiener Bike Parts business for Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as parts of Eastern Europe. In particular, he played a leading role in initiating the changeover to the new, selective distribution system.

In setting up our new sales structure, he supported us with his great know-how right from the start and I am convinced that my team and my areas of responsibility will be in the right hands with him," says Steffen Alberth.

The new man at the top of sales
Joost van Schaik moved from Powerslide to Ghost Bikes GmbH in January 2016, where he was most recently Head of Marketing and Sales and responsible for the development of the Ghost brand and the management of national and international key accounts. In this position, the native Dutchman repeatedly and impressively demonstrated his talent for serving customer and consumer needs in a solution-oriented manner. In September 2018, he took up a newly created position as Head of New Business and supported the development of the new sales structure in parallel.

As of October 1, Joost van Schaik will be responsible for sales of the Ghost, Haibike, Winora, Koga and Lapierre brands as the new Sales Director D-A-CH. Steffen Alberth will prepare a seamless handover with Joost van Schaik until his departure.
