Which employers are the best in Austria? Together with the portals Xing, kununu and the market research institute Statista, the business magazine Trend addressed this question for the third time and reveals a study that is particularly impressive for the sporting goods manufacturer Fischer. Out of more than 200,000 evaluations for 1,000 assessed companies, the family-owned company from Ried im Innkreis emerges as the top employer in 2019. Fischer is number one in the "finished and consumer goods" sector, winner in the Innviertel region and among the top 15 employers in Austria.
As the world's leading manufacturer and supplier of alpine and Nordic ski equipment and field hockey sticks, Fischer has always been known for innovation and cutting-edge technologies. Passion for sports and product innovation is deeply rooted in the employees and every single one of them makes a valuable contribution - both to the success of the company itself, but also to that of the Fischer athletes in the World Cup.
But it's not just the athletes' successes that are special. The fact that in times of large corporations, the only ski world market size to still be family-owned is also unique. At Fischerstraße 8 in Ried im Innkreis, the focus is clearly on people and so many employees are proud to work for the Austrian family business. Flexibility is also a top priority and various part-time models, flexible working hours and even job sharing are offered and used with pleasure.
"Open communication with all employees is particularly important to us," says Elisabeth Kriechbaumer, Head of Human Resources at Fischer. "This transparency is noticeable in the working atmosphere and is now once again confirmed in the ranking of Austria's top employers. We are particularly pleased to emerge as the winner of this year's survey."
