The likeable Liechtensteiner is the daughter of Hanni Wenzel (multiple world champion and Olympic champion in alpine skiing) and the ex-ski racer Harti Weirather, who became world champion in the downhill in 1978. Thus, skiing was put into her cradle. During about 15 years (2005 -2020) Tina Weirather actively competed in the Ski World Cup and took part in various World Championships and Olympics. In 2018, she won the bronze medal in the Super G at the Olympics in PyeongChang. A year earlier in St. Moritz, she was runner-up in the Super G. For about 10 years, she was always a promise for a podium finish at the World Cup races, proving her strong consistency. For about a decade, she was one of the top ski racers in the world.
