Elan Ripstick - new freeride technology

New this winter, Elan launches its "Ripstick" collection, which replaces last year's Spectrum range. The new freeride models are similar in design to their predecessors, but have undergone a technological evolution. This is represented by the new TNT technology, which combines the TubeLite wood core with the new Vapor Tip inserts. The tip and tail of the ski are lighter and have less vibration, making the entire ski more stable and maneuverable. The skis glide smoothly through and over deep snow even in challenging conditions. A new deep snow experience!

TubeLite wood core

With TubeLite technology, two extremely lightweight carbon tubes are inserted into a laminated wood core. The tubes have a diameter of 5 mm and run through the ski as cavities along the arc shape of the sidecut. TubeLite technology reduces weight, increases torsional stability and performance, and improves power transmission at the edge of the ski.

Laminated wood core

This wood core extends from the tip to the tail of the ski and is designed for each model and length. Different types of wood in various combinations allow individual adjustments to the needs of each model. The stable wood core transfers power very directly to the edge.

Amphibio

Elan is the only major ski manufacturer to use an asymmetrical rocker. The outer edges of the ski are rockered or slightly more curved at both ski ends, while the inner edges have a classic preload or no rocker. The inside edge provides maximum edge grip, while the outside edge facilitates turn initiation.

Vapor Tip

The Vapor inserts are made of high-quality composite and are built into the core in the area of the shovel and the end of the ski. The Vapor inserts reduce the weight at the ends of the skis, reduce unnecessary vibration, increase stability and provide a smooth glide even in difficult conditions.

TNT Technology

This refers to the unique combination of a TubeLite wood core with the Vapor Tip inserts.

BC Rocker

Full Tip Rocker for riding in deep snow and a wide variety of snow conditions, and Semi Tail Rocker, which makes your switch riding and landing easier and smoother.

Fiberglass

Fiberglass optimizes the properties of the ski and provides a harmonious flex and good torsional stiffness.

SST sidewalls

Beveled sidewalls are optimal for a durable ski without making it unnecessarily heavy or stiff.
