Roger Federer - Following in the footsteps of Pete Sampras?

Roger Federer could probably never have imagined in his wildest dreams that he would one day suffer the same fate as his own great role model Pete Sampras. He knocked Sampras out of the Wimbledon tournament in the third round in 2001, which was a bitter defeat for Sampras and a kind of harbinger of an unprecedented tennis career for Roger. Is it fate or divine providence that he will now suffer the same fate as his great role model? After all, just as he himself was eliminated in the fourth round in 2001 after defeating Sampras in the third round, the Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky has now also been eliminated in the third round after knocking Roger Federer out of the tournament in the second round, which was an outright sensation. Is history repeating itself here? I hope not, because two years after the Wimbledon elimination, Sampras officially ended his career. And who would want to prove those eternal naysayers right, who have been conjuring up Roger Federer's imminent career end for years and, thank God, were never right. But for Roger Federer, too, a truly great dream was shattered in 2013. He, who has reached the final no less than 8 times in the last 10 years and won seven times, thus equaling the record set by Pete Sampras, has been severely shocked by his unexpected early exit, perhaps even toppling him from his throne. Now he has to put this unbelievably painful defeat behind him as quickly as possible, pick himself up again mentally, build himself up again and record good results, even victories, soon, otherwise he runs the risk of suffering the same fate as his great role model Pete Sampras once did, and probably no one wants that to happen. And another question arises: Is this Stakhovsky a new Federer?
