Lando Norris wins his first Grand Prix

At the Miami Grand Prix, Lando Norris takes his first Grand Prix victory. The Brit from Team McLaren has been on the podium a good 15 times, but it was never enough to win, there was always a Red Bull or Ferrari driver standing in his way, but today it was finally time. Max Verstappen from the Red Bull Racing Team was clearly beaten and in their wake, Charles Leclerc in a Ferrari crossed the finish line in third place.

After Max Verstappen's victory in the sprint race yesterday, many people rightly assumed that the Dutch perennial winner would be back on top of the podium after, as expected, starting the race from pole position. And that's how the race started. Max Verstappen pulls away, Charles Leclerc follows, but without having a chance to overtake Verstappen, closely followed by Ferrari and McLaren. Sergio Perez shoots out of the corner and immediately loses a few places. But unlike in all other races, Max Verstappen is unable to put a large gap between himself and his pursuers. Leclerc and Co. remain close on his heels. A heated battle breaks out between Oscar Piastri in 4th place and Carlos Sainz in 5th place. In the meantime, the usual tire changes lead to a change of position and suddenly Lando Norris finds himself at the front. When Kevin Magnussen and Logan Sargeant unexpectedly collide and Sargeant's tail flies into the barrier, the safety car comes onto the track. Mistakenly, the safety car does not place itself in front of the leading Norris, but in front of the pursuer Verstappen, which means that Norris soon has a lead of over half a minute. But then the safety car waits for Norris until the safety car has positioned itself in front of the leading Norris. After the safety car left the race track a short time later, the race was released again. Now Lando Norris can set the pace and that is crucial as to whether he can quickly break away from his pursuer Verstappen. But Norris accelerates again far too quickly, as if he were being pushed by Verstappen - he obviously still has to learn to dictate the racing - and there seems to be a great danger that Verstappen can now grab him, but Verstappen can't get close to him . Lando Norris is making up time on the second-placed Dutchman lap after lap. After 57 laps the time has come: Lando Norris crosses the finish line first in his McLaren with a lead of over 7 seconds and celebrates his first Formula 1 Grand Prix. This means that Red Bull's spell is broken and Verstappen's winning streak comes to an abrupt end. At the Miami Grand Prix, the three teams Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren fought on equal terms for the first time. This promises a lot for the upcoming races in Emilia-Romagna and Monaco.
