With its 16.5 kilograms, the Fat Rat is quite a weighty fatbike; other fatbikes are much lighter when pedaling uphill. KTM's strength is the fact that the Austrian manufacturer is one of the few suppliers that also offers a fatbike model with an electric motor with its "MACINA Freeze Plus" model. Overall, the Fat Rat model pictured here is less able to score in comparison with the surrounding competition: Too heavy, cheaper components and a relatively high price compared to the competition catapult the KTM Fatbike rather into the back field. But those who like KTM - and the sporty brand from Austria enjoys a large following - will opt for the Fat Rat.
