K2 Shreditor

K2 Shreditor

K2 is a brand that puts a lot of emphasis on fun and experience on the mountain, with classic alpine ski racing has the American manufacturer currently not much to do. Therefore, K2 is very strong in the areas of all-mountain, freeride and touring. In addition to the Annex model line, K2 holds the Shreditor line for freeriders. Like TwinTip skis, the skis are relatively rockered (bent up) at the front and back, which makes it easier to maneuver in deep snow and is of great benefit when jumping and going backwards. This line is aimed at freeriders who are not afraid of anything and love the thrill.

All terrain rocker

As the name suggests, this type of rocker from K2 stands for use in all types of terrain. The All-Terrain Rocker™ has a slightly raised shovel for optimum performance in variable and soft snow and enough preload under the binding for plenty of precision and edge grip on icy slopes and hard snow.

Powder Rocker

This is the rocker for deep snow - our widest skis get maximum lift from it at the shovel and "surf" over and through everything the terrain has to offer. The normal preload under the binding provides sufficient edge grip and control on harder snow and on the slopes.

Powder Tip

The rocker provides lift, so this does not require an enlarged shovel surface in the conventional style. In the K2 PowderTip, the widest part of the shovel has been moved further back. This gives it lift in soft snow, but at the same time keeps the track safely in adverse snow conditions.

Skin Grommets

All Adventure Skis have multifunctional holes in the shovel and ski end. In addition to the possibility of attaching skins, the holes serve as attachment points when building rescue sleds or various snow anchors. This saves material and therefore weight and gives additional safety in the terrain.

Triaxial Braiding

Triaxial Braiding was developed by K2 in 1988 and is still considered the best process for joining fiberglass to a wood core. In this process, a pre-treated wood core is passed through a patented Triaxial Braiding machine, which wraps it with pre-braided fiberglass strands. This unique method produces skis with perfectly tuned torsional stiffness, and a forgiving character, without sacrificing the dynamics and lively flex of the wood core

TwinTech sidewall

This new Twin Tip specific construction increases the durability of sidewall skis. In a traditional sidewall construction, the top sheet and the side face are at a 90° angle to each other. This sharp angle is susceptible to damage. In contrast, the new Twin Tech construction overlaps the top sheet and sidewall, creating a flatter angle and better protecting the ski from damage.
