K2 Remedy

K2 Remedy

K2 is the brand among the big ski brands that especially successfully handles the topic "fun on the mountain", therefore it is strong in the segments all-mountain, freeride and touring. In addition to the Potion models, K2 offers the Remedy models for freeride ladies. Here, the shovel and ski end are relatively strongly bent up, as in a TwinTip ski, which gives them high maneuverability and makes them ideal for jumps. Ladies who want to surf through the powder choose these models.

All terrain rocker

As the name suggests, this type of rocker from K2 stands for use in all types of terrain. The All-Terrain Rocker™ has a slightly raised shovel for optimum performance in variable and soft snow and enough preload under the binding for plenty of precision and edge grip on icy slopes and hard snow.

Absorb TwinTech sidewalls

This sidewall construction has a urethane layer between the individual ABS layers, which serves to dampen the impact after hard landings. Urethane is used exclusively in the binding area, while ABS sidewalls on the tip and tail improve control and performance. ABSorb sidewalls are used on the new Recoil and MissDemeanor.

TwinTech sidewall

This new Twin Tip specific construction increases the durability of sidewall skis. In a traditional sidewall construction, the top sheet and the side face are at a 90° angle to each other. This sharp angle is susceptible to damage. In contrast, the new Twin Tech construction overlaps the top sheet and sidewall, creating a flatter angle and better protecting the ski from damage.

Powder Tip

The rocker provides lift, so this does not require an enlarged shovel surface in the conventional style. In the K2 PowderTip, the widest part of the shovel has been moved further back. This gives it lift in soft snow, but at the same time keeps the track safely in adverse snow conditions.

Bioflex wood core

The BioFlex wood core is used in the K2 Women skis and combines the different flex properties of aspen, paulownia and bamboo. The harder aspen wood provides stability and power under the binding, while the lighter paulownia wood at the shovel and ski end provides easy turn initiation, lighter weight and easy handling. There are 3 different BioFlex cores: bioflex 1 - 60% Aspen and 40% Paulownia - forgiving and light bioflex 2 - 70% Aspen and 30% Paulownia - light weight and strong performance bioflex 3 - 80% Aspen and 20% Paulownia - highest performance, power and durability

Triaxial Braiding

Triaxial Braiding was developed by K2 in 1988 and is still considered the best process for joining fiberglass to a wood core. In this process, a pre-treated wood core is passed through a patented Triaxial Braiding machine, which wraps it with pre-braided fiberglass strands. This unique method produces skis with perfectly tuned torsional stiffness, and a forgiving character, without sacrificing the dynamics and lively flex of the wood core

Skin Grommets

All Adventure Skis have multifunctional holes in the shovel and ski end. In addition to the possibility of attaching skins, the holes serve as attachment points when building rescue sleds or various snow anchors. This saves material and therefore weight and gives additional safety in the terrain.
