On August 12 and 13, the Grass Ski World Cup will take place for the 10th time on the Marbachegg. The Grass Ski Club Escholzmatt-Marbach celebrates its anniversary.
It may seem exotic to some, but with decreasing amounts of snow at the beginning of winter, grass ski racing may be a whole exciting alternative.
On August 12/13, 2017, the Grass Ski World Cup will once again be hosted on the Marbachegg. Grass skiing is an exciting sport, which is based on alpine ski racing. The athletes practice their sport professionally and intensively. Competitions are held far beyond Europe and speeds beyond 80 km/h are reached. Racers from junior age compete on the Marbachegg in the disciplines giant slalom and super-G. The races on the unique piste on Marbachegg are considered classics.
