Until a few years ago, they made up the bulk of manufacturers' ski ranges, but since all-mountain skis have gained market share, their share has fallen sharply. Classic skis for the slopes are carving skis, which usually have no rocker, or today only very slight rocker, i.e. have up to 100% of preload and are typically waisted. Their area of use is practically exclusively the piste.
Rossignol React
The new Carver line
The new "React" models replace the established "Pursuit" models. The React models are also classic carvers and created for piste skiers. Unlike their predecessors, they benefit from the new technologies of the new Hero models, after all, they feature the new LCT or Line Control Technology, in which a titanal insert runs vertically and centrally along the entire length of the ski, increasing track control and stability. The new Flex Tip technology in the shovel also provides faster acceleration into and out of turns.
Fischer RC One
Just a year ago, Fischer Sports had a line for classic carver skis and a separate line for all-mountain skis. Since all-mountain skis from European ski manufacturers usually deviate only slightly from the masses of carver skis and are only equipped with a slight rocker ski, it makes sense to combine these two previously separate segments into one and thus increase the clarity of Fischer ski models. So the wider the ski model is under the binding, the more likely it is to be an all-mountain model. It's easy to remember. Here we present the three wider RC One models, which are designed as all-mountain skis.
Lusti Carving Ski

Those who do not know Lusti will be amazed to hear that Lusti offers carving skis with radii ranging from a minimum of 4.5 to 13.5 m for their models in lengths from 110 to 180 cm. Lusti is a manufacturer specialized in carving, producing a wide range of diverse carving skis. Carving enthusiasts will enjoy the selection and the sportiness of the models.
R11
Handmade Carver Ski from Switzerland
Behind the brand "R11" is Roy Leuenberger, a carpenter and skilled ski maker who has been producing his own skis for almost 10 years. In 2019/20, he has three sporty models on offer, which are elaborately handcrafted.
Swiss Massive Allrounder
Handmade all-round carver
The swiss massiv Allrounder is a classic all-round carver for beginners to advanced skiers that is easy to master and at home on the piste. The solid wood core reinforced with titanal inserts and bamboo sidewalls is extremely stable and responsive. Currently, the all-rounder is available in 5 versions.
Swiss Massive Slalom Carver
Handmade slalom carver
This ski is aimed at sporty skiers who appreciate precision and agility on the slopes. The extremely narrow waisted ski harmonizes very well with the Volholzkern construction with titanal inserts and bamboo sidewalls. Maximum precision and lightning-fast response characterize the model.
Radical Carver
Handmade carving carbon ski
Radical's handmade carving skis based on Radical's carbon philosophy are light, nippy and grippy on the slopes. This winter Radical launches the "New Carver", which is even sportier and more direct.
Rossignol Nova
The new Carver line for the ladies
Nova is the name of the new carver models for women that combine elegance and sportiness. Specially adapted to the female anatomy, the ski models have been equipped with the new LCT Soft or Line Control Technology Soft. Unlike the racing ski and men's carver models, the central rail that runs vertically through the ski is made of composite rather than titanal. In addition, Adaptive Flex technology helps the skier initiate turns more easily. Visually, the new Nova models have also made significant gains compared to their Famous predecessors.
Dynastar Speed Zone
The Speed Zone models are established carving skis from Dynastar. In 2019/20 Dynastar splits the model line into piste models and all-mountain models to clearly define the range of use of the ski model.
Dynastar Speed Elite & Intense
Slope models for skiladys
What is done with the Speed Zone models for men is now also done with the Intense models for women: They are split into more piste-oriented models and all-mountain models that are somewhat more versatile. The race-oriented Speed Elite model is still included in the piste models.
RTC Carve
The handmade Carve models are classic carvers that stand for smoothness, directional stability and agility. The range of the Valais ski manufacturer is then also more than special with lengths starting at 128 cm and stands out uniquely. Models with the additional designation "S" are aimed at women and lighter men.
