R11 - Ski range 2019/20

Behind the brand "R11" is Roy Leuenberger, a carpenter and skilled ski maker who has been producing his own skis for almost 10 years. In 2019/20, he has three sporty models on offer, which are elaborately handcrafted.

Anyone who knows how skis come off the assembly line every minute at major ski brands will be amazed to hear that Roy Leuenberger takes a whole 16 hours to complete a single ski. What is impressive is that he "bakes" his skis in his specially designed ski press for a good hour before processing them further, whereas skis in large ski factories are pressed together for what feels like a minute. This difference illustrates the massive difference in quality between a handmade R11 and a mass-produced ski from the big ski brands. In view of this high effort and the added value in terms of durability, the low additional price is almost a joke. And as a bonus, every customer can have the ski custom-made according to their individual wishes.
