Svindal announces his retirement

Many already knew at the beginning of the season that it was only a question of when the Norwegian giant would announce his retirement from alpine ski racing. For too long he tormented himself with his knee problem, which should find no end. Last weekend he even skipped the highlight of the year in the Alpine Ski World Cup, the Hahnenkamm races in Kitzbühel, to rest his knee. And he now wants to continue resting his knee for his final appearance at the Alpine Ski World Championships in Åre, Sweden. This he announced to the media and he currently posts on his Instagram account.
