Federica Brignone wins gold at the 2025 Alpine World Ski Championships in the women's giant slalom discipline. Alice Robinson wins the silver medal, Paula Moltzan takes bronze.
Today, the favorites in the giant slalom decided among themselves who would win the world championship. Unlike in many competitions at the 2025 Alpine Ski World Championships, there was no surprise winner on today's race day. Sara Hector, Federica Brignone, Alice Robinson, Lara Colturi, Thea Louise Stjernesund, Zrinca Lutic, Lara Gut-Behrami and Paula Moltzan are the top 8 in the women's Alpine Ski World Cup in the giant slalom. And exactly the same riders shared the top 8 places in the women's giant slalom at the 2025 Alpine Ski World Championships today. What was particularly noticeable were the enormous time gaps even in the top 10. Above all, Federica Brignone delivered the runs of her life and the best time in both runs. Only Alice Robinson was able to keep up. The race was also characterized by the numerous dropouts: Of the 108 riders, only 48 achieved a final result. Federica Brignone deservedly won the gold medal at this year's Ski World Championships in the giant slalom; she was a class better than all the other riders.
