After joining Formula 1 with Alfa Romeo in 2018 and his first races, it quickly became clear that the young driver really had great talent and could make a difference in Formula 1. Not entirely surprisingly, he was given the chance to join Ferrari's top team when racing driver Kimi Räikkönen resigned. As soon as he joined the Ferrari team, it quickly became clear that he was better than 4-time world champion Sebasian Vettel, who had a hard time with the Scuderia's eternal lack of chances against Mercedes. At the start of the 2021 season, Ferrari replaced Sebastian Vettel with Carlos Sainz, making Charles Leclerc the number 1 driver in the Ferraristi team. In keeping with Ferrari's spirit, Leclerc took the lead in the drivers' standings at the start of the 2022 season. Everything seemed to indicate that he and Ferrari could take home the world championship trophy, but last year's world champion under Red Bull, Max Verstappen, has now taken the lead again. Even if he doesn't win the world championship title, the young Monegasque shows what a talented driver he is and what it takes to be a world champion. If not in 2022, then in the near future, or so it seems. But after 6 seasons without a title and the arrival of former world champion Lewis Hamilton from 2025, the question is whether he will remain number 1 in the Ferrari stable.
