Victories
After his entry into Formula 1 at Alfa Romeo in 2018 and his first races, it quickly became clear that the young driver really had great talent and could make quite a difference in Formula 1. Not entirely surprisingly, he was given the chance to join Ferrari's top team when racing driver Kimi Räikkönen took his hat off. As soon as he joined the Ferrari team, it quickly became clear that he was better than 4-time world champion Sebasian Vettel, who was struggling badly with the Scuderia's perennial lack of chances against Mercedes. With the start of the 2021 season, Ferrari replaced Sebastian Vettel with Carlos Sainz, making Charles Leclerc the number 1 driver in the Ferraristi's team. In keeping with Ferrari's wishes, Leclerc took over the lead in the drivers' standings during the start of the 2022 season. Everything looked as if Ferrari and he could take home the world championship trophy, but in the meantime last year's world champion under Red Bull, Max Verstappen, has taken the lead again. Even if it doesn't come to anything with the world title, the young Monegasque is showing what driving talent he has in him and that he has what it takes to be a world champion. If not in 2022, then in the near future, or so it seems.
