Rossignol Blackops: Welcome Freedom Goodbye Rules!

Rossignol Blackops

For all those who want to let it rip, the French ski manufacturer Rossignol 2020 has designed the new line "Blackops". It convinces not only with unique technology, but also with its ecologically friendly and sustainable concept.

Building freeride skis is nothing new. Not even for Rossignol. In recent years, the French ski manufacturer impressed with its 7-Series, which gained attention especially with its Air Tip construction, after all, the air trapped in the honeycomb construction ensured that the shovel was nice and light and the freeride ski therefore remained nice and easy to turn even in the terrain.

Towards the 2020 season, Rossignol completely changes the concept and launches a comprehensive Free collection for freeriders, all-mountain enthusiasts and tourers, which convinces with new technologies and with a sustainable ecology concept.

Environmentally friendly
When choosing the material used, Rossignol paid great attention to environmental sustainability. Both the use of recycled material helps the environment, as well as the use of sustainably grown wood. The poplar cores used are PEFC™ certified. This label guarantees sustainable forestry. The built-in paulownia wood cores are FSC® certified. The label stands for responsible forest management. They are all part of the new Respect program. You can find more info here: http://www.grouperossignol.com/en/respect/.

New technologies
Firstly, the Air-Tip technology, already best tested by the 7-Series, has been adopted. It provides a light shovel and a centered weight distribution of the ski, which increases the controllability of the skis.

Line Control Technology
On the other hand, the Line Control Technology (LCT) was transferred from the racing area to the freeride area. In contrast to the racing skis, there is not only one central titanal strand running through the middle of the ski, but there are two strands running parallel to the middle through the ski. They increase the track control of the ski.

Extended Core
The ski core has been lengthened, increasing the contact area with the snow and torsional stability. This in turn promotes precision and control on the snow.

Damp Tech
The shovel has received a new insert in addition to the Air Tip technology. This DAMP TECH insert in the shovel reduces the vibration of the ski.

Titanal/ABS Beam
Under the foot is additionally either a titanal or an ABS insert. They provide more feeling, strength and grip under the feet.

Extensive range of applications
With the new line of skis, Rossignol has not only generated a new environmental concept and incorporated new ski technologies, but also packed into a single line a full four applications: Freeride, Allmountain, Free Touring and Progressive Freeride. In this regard, the men are slightly favored, after all, their six models include all applications, the five women's models only Freeride and Allmountain.

The 2020 range
The new line of skis is presented as follows: 5 female models for Freeride and Allmountain, 6 male models for Freeride, Allmountain, Free Touring and Progressive Freeride. We are curious to see which customers will choose.

Since Rossignol is no longer "just" a ski manufacturer, but also has a comprehensive and high-quality clothing range in addition to some other sports brands, it will certainly come as no surprise that Rossignol can offer not only the matching ski boots to the Blackops ski models, but also the coherent outfit and the perfect ski clothing that fits.
