Pininfarina E-Voluzione: Good style is tradition

Good things take time! According to this motto, the realization of the Pininfarina e-bikes presented in 2016 was also handled. The name Pininfarina combines the best design and high-quality vehicles. That kind of thing doesn't take a hurry. Even if customers had to exercise some patience, the wait was worth it in view of the successful end product. Design culture and state-of-the-art e-bike technology have merged and can now be viewed and purchased.

First unveiled at Eurobike 2016, the Pininfarina Evoluzione model was a groundbreaking new e-bike that would be superior to all existing e-bikes in terms of design and comfort. The design was inspired by the legendary Pininfarina design brand, which for decades was responsible for the outstanding design of countless Ferraris, Alfa Romeos, Jaguars, Maseratis and other high-profile car brands. Pininfarina's e-bike was designed using the wind tunnel of the current design studio, building on more profound design technology than any other e-bike. At the time, the chairman of Pininfarina's supervisory board, Paolo Pininfarina, commented as follows: "The Evoluzione represents a perfect synthesis of our spirit: a sporty character and an eco-friendly soul. Sporty and dynamic, a harmonious electric bike capable of guaranteeing high performance and comfort. With this concept claim, the design studio Pininfarina and the bicycle brand Diavelo, part of the Dutch bicycle group Accell Group N.V., have come together to offer the world a revolution in the e-bike market.

When I stopped by the fledgling Diavelo Schweiz AG a little over a year ago to report on the company and its management, which is in the hands of two women, which is known to be a rarity in the bicycle industry, I already encountered the Pininfarina model that was already present in the showroom and that was scheduled for 2017...
