K2 Luvit, 2018/19

K2 Luvit 2018/19

The four freeride models for women skiers start this winter with a slightly different name. The ski construction has also been changed, all models have the Konic construction in common, which ensures a lighter, more turning and grippy ski. The colors are feminine and colorful this winter. The shapes have remained the same, here and there a length has been added or disappeared. The models are aimed at real all-mountain and powder skiers and offer them the best possible performance.

K2 Ski Technologies

All terrain rocker

As the name suggests, this type of rocker from K2 stands for use in all types of terrain. The All-Terrain Rocker™ has a slightly raised shovel for optimum performance in variable and soft snow and enough preload under the binding for plenty of precision and edge grip on icy slopes and hard snow.

BIOkonic

To improve flex, edge grip and turning ability, the outer sides of the ski core are equipped with heavier and denser wood. By reducing the material in the center, the ski also becomes lighter. The performance of the ski is thus increased.

Hybritech sidewalls

Hybritech is the unique combination of a sidewall and a cap construction. It combines the precision, power and performance of a sidewall under the binding with the lightness and smooth turn initiation of a cap construction.

Nano Lite

Super lightweight, low density, aviation level used.

Triaxial Braiding

Triaxial Braiding was developed by K2 in 1988 and is still considered the best process for joining fiberglass to a wood core. In this process, a pre-treated wood core is passed through a patented Triaxial Braiding machine, which wraps it with pre-braided fiberglass strands. This unique method produces skis with perfectly tuned torsional stiffness, and a forgiving character, without sacrificing the dynamics and lively flex of the wood core.

Metal laminate

Our metal laminate construction skis feature a lightweight titanium alloy that runs along the entire length of the ski in the upper and lower chords. These models are the highest quality skis with the most complex construction in the entire K2 ski collection. Starting from the base, this construction consists of alternating layers of fiberglass and titanium wrapped around a wood core. Metal laminate provides superior damping, as well as accurate and uncompromising performance for top sport all-mountain riders.

Tapered Tip/Tail

Our freeride stability ski is designed not only with a narrower tip, but also with a small amount of narrowing in the ski tip. A narrower ski tip moves the widest part of the contact area to the rear. This reduces the weight of the ski tip and steering in soft and variable snow conditions. The narrower shovel allows more control after the end of the turn to better accelerate out or steer, depending on slope conditions.
