Already at the third Grand Prix of the 2024 season, Ferrari seems to have caught up with Red Bull and the red bulls' long-standing dominance appears to be crumbling. Ferrari showed itself to be superior in qualifying and Max Verstappen had to be happy that he was able to secure pole. His teammate Sergio Perez was moved three places back to sixth on the grid after he hindered Nico Hulkenberg in qualifying. This meant that Max Verstappen started the race alone at the front.
Mercedes comes away empty-handed, Haas scores points
Lewis Hamilton's start to the season is the worst since 2009; he has never had to start the season with such a meager result. But he is confident that they will dig their way out of this valley in which they are now stuck. George Russell is also out due to an accident, the cause of which the stewards attribute to dangerous driving behavior by Fernando Alonso. Alonso received a 20-second penalty for this, which is why he fell from 6th to 8th place and took home four points less. However, things are going well for the Haas F1 team. Both drivers are in the points. The season is starting off in an encouraging way for a team that has always had to finish at the bottom in recent years.

Beide Fahrer sind in den Punkten. Damit beginnt die Saison ermutigend für ein Team, das die letzten Jahre stets unten durch musste.
