Alta Badia/Gröden MTB: New adventures away from the Sellaronda

The Sella Pass with its stunning panorama, the rocky ruins of the stone city at the foot of the Sassolungo: the breathtaking mountain world of the Dolomites magically attracts mountain bikers. But it doesn't always have to be the Sellaronda - because there are also many other charming corners in the Val Gardena and Alta Badia. Strenuous climbs, old water mills and rustic alpine pastures: We have taken a closer look at four particularly beautiful tours from the rich program.

South Tyrol does not always have to be called Sellaronda. North of the Val Gardena and in Alta Badia, great alternatives are waiting to be discovered by mountain bikers. If you set out on new trails in the Dolomites, you'll conquer rustic side valleys and technically challenging single trails off the beaten track.

Easy access in the Langental
The Langental Valley northeast of Selva Gardena belongs to the Puez-Odle Nature Park and fascinates with its steep rock faces on both sides and the beautiful valley head with the high alpine pasture Pra da Ri. The way back leads via the Kreuzweg up to Juac. A beautiful descent leads back to Selva via Sangon and along the Col Raiser slope. First-timers and families simply skip the climb to the Juac hut. Sporty mountain bikers, on the other hand, often climb straight up to the Juac hut, climb further altitude meters to the Regensburger hut and to the Peralongia alpine pasture. Via the middle station of the Seceda cable car and the Holy Cross Chapel of Rasciesa, the route descends back to the valley.

Sella Pass and Stone City
The Sella Pass with its spectacular Dolomite panorama and the rocky debris of the stone city are magical sights for vacationers in the Dolomites. This destination is experienced particularly intensively by those who have worked their way up from the Val Gardena valley with their own muscle power. The ascent in the upper part just before the stony city is a must-do, even if it is steep for a short time. The path through the stony city to the Rifugio Comici (2,153 m) offers great riding fun on the trails below the mighty Sassolungo. Rustic refreshments are offered at the Rifugio Comici, where even gourmets get their money's worth. The long and varied descent back to Selva rounds off this worthwhile tour.

Through the mill valley
A dreamlike tour leads from La Valle (Wengen) in the Puster Valley to the picture-perfect Mühlental. The Mühlental is located in the Puez-Odle Nature Park, an area with centuries-old charm, where .....
