Spring weather instead of snow flurries: White Style postponed to February 13

Saalfelden Leogang, Austria, January 20, 2015 - Sunshine and warm temperatures are a blessing for most athletes. However, they are not ideal for athletes who want to conjure up tricks on the snow with their mountain bikes. That's why White Style, the FMB World Tour's only event on snow, can't take place on January 30 as planned. The new date for the extraordinary season kick-off is planned for February 13.

If it were an ordinary mountain bike event, sun and spring-like temperatures would be the best conditions. But the White Style is anything but ordinary and unfortunately there is not enough snow for the meter-high obstacles at the moment. "Unfortunately, the weather forecasts indicate that we will not be able to keep the original date of January 30," explains organizer Kornel Grundner from Leoganger Bergbahnen.

The 20 invited riders and the fans now have two additional weeks to look forward to this season highlight, because February 13 has been set as an alternative date for the White Style. Now it is a matter of keeping fingers crossed that the weather situation develops positively and sufficient white building material comes from the sky.
