Ursus acquires a majority stake in Saccon

Ursus S.p.A. has acquired a majority stake in Saccon S.r.l., an established Italian manufacturer known for precision bicycle components and outstanding braking systems. Also part of the acquisition is Sacconplast, the in-house division specializing in high-quality plastic components "Made in Italy," which is an integral part of the group.

This strategic acquisition creates an integrated Italian industrial group with complementary expertise covering the entire production spectrum – from precision-manufactured wheels and hubs to bicycle stands and quick-release systems, as well as complete brake systems for all bicycle segments.

“The merger of Ursus and Saccon is a strategic step forward to build a stronger, more innovative supply chain that is also internationally competitive. Our goal is to create technical and manufacturing synergies that will allow us to offer OEM partners complete, high-performance, and sustainable solutions – all Made in Italy,” explains Mirko Ferronato, CEO of Ursus, not without pride.

The newly formed group strengthens the leading role of "Made in Italy" in bicycle components and contributes to the strengthening of a key sector of future mobility.
