On Sunday, February 8th, the world's toughest downhill mountain bike race returns to Australia, providing the stage for epic racing on the exceptional terrain of Tasmania's famous Maydena Bike Park. Red Bull will broadcast the event live via video stream.
The wildest MTB weekend ever is finally here! Red Bull Hardline Tasmania combines speed, precision, and thrills on a 3.4 km course with blistering descents (up to 60 km/h), massive drops of over 10 meters, and technical terrain that separates the brave from the fearless. For the 2026 edition, the world's best riders will tackle the redesigned upper section of Maydena Bike Park, which promises to be even more spectacular – and challenging. The original course took over 7,500 hours to build, and with the new features for 2026, riders will have their work cut out for them. Among the participants of Red Bull Hardline Tasmania 2026 are defending champions Jackson Goldstone, who secured victory after an impressive revenge at the 2025 event, and Gracey Hemstreet, who made history in 2025 when she became the first rider to win the Red Bull Hardline women's category. Goldstone will face off against the young Asa Vermette, who triumphed at Red Bull Hardline Wales last year, becoming the youngest winner ever at just 18 years old. Red Bull Hardline Tasmania will be broadcast live on Red Bull TV and the Red Bull Bike YouTube channel at 5:00 AM (GMT+2) on February 8, 2026.

ROUTE INSPECTION & FIRST RIDES
– “The first jump is so much fun! The course is a bit longer this year, so it feels much better. Last year we kind of slipped, so it’s amazing to just float down. I’m totally thrilled, everything’s going great.” – Asa Vermette
– “I’m so excited! I was so nervous when I saw the road gap. But when you’re actually there, with all the gear, you think, ‘Okay, this is really happening!’ I followed a friend, took the road gap, and was totally euphoric!” – Mikayla Parton (First Red Bull Hardline)
– “It’s so much fun – it runs really well. Racing down from the container is much smoother, simply awesome.” – Gracey Hemstreet, “Queen of Red Bull Hardline”
– “Aggressive. Right after that crazy drop… one of the craziest drops I’ve ever done is 15 meters right from the starting gate. Nice warm-up!” – Aaron Gwin
– “Just relaxing a little, eh?” – Jackson Goldstone
