Helly Hansen ULLR Freeride Collection: The Update

The ULLR Freeride collection gets an update this winter: The high-performance LIFALOFT™ Insulation by Primaloft®

With the first snowfall of the season, the anticipation of the first deep snow descent increases among powder fans. And of course this is twice as much fun with the right clothing. The ULLR Freeride line from Helly Hansen is aimed at demanding and professional freeriders who are on the move in high alpine terrain. Since 1877, Helly Hansen has continued to bring breakthrough technologies to the ski market, enabling powder lovers to feel dry, warm and comfortable on and off the slopes. The ULLR collection offers total freedom of movement and reliable protection from the elements. This winter, the apparel gets even lighter and more comfortable with Helly Hansen's use of high-performance LIFALOFT™ Insulation by Primaloft®. The result is styles with more heat retention at lower weight and pack size.

Lifaloft™ is composed of 75% Lifa® fibers and 25% PrimaLoft® insulation, and is less bulky and 20% lighter than polyester alternatives. The new insulation comes with an increased number of tiny air pockets that absorb and retain heat, creating the warmth of a down jacket with less bulk.

The ULLR Freeride line consists of a range of styles for men and women that provide protection and comfort on and off the slopes:

The W Whitewall LIFALOFT™ Jacket for women comes with a longer, feminine silhouette and pockets that easily store backcountry safety gear. Hi-Vis details for extra safety, a Life Pocket® that conserves smartphone and camera battery power in cold temperatures are all part of the jacket's features. The 80g LIFALOFT™ thermal insulation gives the jacket a sleek look without sacrificing thermal performance.

The W Kvitegga Shell Jacket, a freeride jacket made of robust, 3-layer HELLY TECH® Professional keeps the wearer pleasantly warm and dry and offers absolute freedom of movement on the slopes. The jacket scores with zippered ventilation under the arms, detachable snow skirt, adjustable cuffs and high collar. For extra safety, Hi-Vis details and the Recco rescue system. Features such as a pocket for the ski pass, a helmet-compatible hood and a Life Pocket®, which protects the battery of smartphone and camera in cold temperatures, make powder hearts beat faster.

The Helly Hansen W Powchaser LIFALOFT™ Jacket keeps you comfortably warm thanks to 2-layer Helly Tech® Professional and 80g LIFALOFT™ insulation. The jacket is breathable, offers a high collar and a comfortable fit for long days in the snow. Cuffed arm cuffs protect gloves from snow penetration. Hi-Vis details on this jacket also provide visibility on particularly dark days on the slopes. Thanks to a helmet-compatible hood, ski pass pocket and Life Pocket®, the jacket will quickly become your favorite.

The pants insulated with Primaloft W Switch Cargo 2.0 Pant made of Helly Tech® Performance Stretch has been reworked and offers a close fit and a higher back for even more protection and comfort. The low waist combined with the modern boot cut creates a feminine silhouette. During intense activities, the wearer can quickly provide cooling with the zippers for ventilation. In the large cargo pockets important utensils find their place.

The gentlemen Straightline LIFALOFT™ Jacket comes with a long silhouette, is helmet and backpack compatible and provides a 80g LIFALOFT™ Insulation for comfortable warmth without volume. The waterproof and breathable 2-layer HELLY TECH® Professional protects against wet and cold. Since style is just as important to many consumers as performance, Helly Hansen incorporates current colors and trendy materials such as corduroy and plaids, and focused on designs that mimic classic jeans or lambskin jackets.

The breathable, waterproof Garibaldi Jacket with Primaloft® insulation is made for freeriders and scores equally with the breathable and waterproof 2-layer HELLY TECH® Professional with bi-elastic fabric construction for more warmth and freedom of movement. The H²Flow system provides automatic temperature regulation. Equipped with a Life Pocket®, Hi-Vis details, a helmet-compatible hood, a ski pass pocket, a Recco® system and goggle cleaning cloth, the jacket has everything you need on the slopes.

The jacket is complemented by the Garibaldi Pant. The pants come from breathable and waterproof 2-layer HELLY TECH® Professional and provide the best protection and comfort on the descent. Thanks to the adjustable waist, it offers the wearer absolute freedom of movement for all activities in the snow.

Another highlight of the collection: the Sogn Cargo Pant. Thanks to the 2-layer HELLY TECH® Protection, the pants are waterproof, windproof and breathable and provide the wearer with excellent protection from the elements. Special insulation on the seat and knees keep the body pleasantly dry. Two side pockets and one thigh pocket with waterproof zipper provide storage space for essentials.
