The variety of tours from easy beginner routes to super challenging tours speaks for itself. Between the Hohe and Radstädter Tauern, Tennengebirge, Hochkönig and Dachstein massif, everyone, from the absolute beginner to the experienced cyclist, is guaranteed to find his or her personal cycling challenge. And the magnificent views of the Salzburg mountains are free for all.

Salzburger Nockerln, Mozartkugeln and Co are not exactly light fare, but they are unavoidable on a vacation in Salzburger Land. A good antidote to prevent these delicacies from settling directly on your hips is road cycling.
In the heart of the Salzburg region, eight communities have joined together to form the Salzburg Sports World. Hiking, golfing, tennis, fishing, motorcycling, swimming, mountain biking, horseback riding and climbing are among the sporting options. However, the Salzburg Sports World is particularly well suited for racing biking. The Salzburg Sports World has a varied, recreational and, if you wish, strenuous network of road bike trails. The tours, round trips or also along the Tauern valleys, are worth experiencing both scenically and athletically.
Cycling metropolis Flachau
Flachau is the best starting point for varied road bike tours. The home town of ski star Hermann Maier is a World Cup venue in winter and a cycling metropolis in summer with the Tauernhof fun sports and bike hotel complex. From here, road bikers are guided competently and enthusiastically through the province of Salzburg.
Beginners, connoisseurs and families will find ideal conditions on the sections of the Tauern Cycle Path and the Enns Cycle Path. The Dachsteinrunde is a nice afternoon tour to get acquainted with the area. To warm up, head from Flachau to Altenmarkt and along the Old Roman Road to Radstadt. Continuing in the direction of Schladming, you come to Hotel Pichlmayrgut, an estate that was first mentioned in 1117. After a short crisp climb you reach the high plateau Ramsau-Vorberg at the foot of the Dachstein. For the typical "Radlertrinken" we recommend a stop at the rustic Fiakerwirt directly in the center of Filzmoos. In Eben you can end the loop to Flachau or you can add another loop from there to Fritztal, via Bischofshofen, St. Johann to Wagrain and back to Flachau. In this way, a half-day tour can quickly become a day tour.
