Elan Touring, 2015/165

Elan Touring with Bridge Technology and Mountain Rocker

Elan takes over for the new winter season 2015/16 exactly the same collection as a winter before. Therefore, nothing has changed. Ski tourers will pay particular attention to lugging around as little weight as possible while still having a ski under their feet that provides them with the necessary support in deep snow. With the "Bridge" technology Elan provides a concept that ensures low weight and optimal power transmission. This is joined by a strong mountain rocker for easier turning.

Mountain Rocker

Moderate rocker in the ski tip for better lift, easy turn initiation and steering in different snow conditions. Good stability on slopes due to low to normal preload.

Bridge

Reduced weight and increased performance in one. Corrugations under the binding area guarantee torsional stability. The bridged carbon fibers allow optimal power transmission throughout the ski.

Monoblock

A wood laminate that runs to the edge, providing direct power transmission and high torsional rigidity.

PST sidewalls

A cap construction for greater lightness, combined with a sidewall, for maximum edge grip. Powerful yet playful when needed.

Laminated wood core

This tip-to-tail laminated wood core is specially designed for each model and length. Different wood types in different combinations allow the best solution for each application. This stable and durable wood core transfers power directly to the edge and offers tremendous versatility.

Fiberglass

Above or below the wood core, fiberglass optimizes the properties of the ski and provides a harmonious flex and good torsional stiffness.

Carbon

Carbon is the lightest material and provides enormous reinforcements. It can be used specifically where it is needed.
