Casio launches first G-Shock model with heart rate measurement and GPS

G-SHOCK Launches the GBD-H1000: The newest member of the G-SQUAD family is now available with heart rate monitor and GPS function equipped.

The new GBD-H1000 has no less than 5 different sensors: An optical sensor that can measure heart rate by detecting blood flow under the skin. A triple sensor that determines altitude meter and air pressure, as well as detects cardinal directions and temperature. On top of that, an acceleration sensor that documents the number of steps, as well as integrated GPS functionality that records information about the current location and the distance traveled.

By analyzing the measured data, valuable information about one's own condition can be obtained. By synchronizing the watch with a specially developed app on the smartphone, the user can easily retrieve, track and evaluate the measured data, such as calorie consumption and the recorded training data.

The watch case offers perfect fit and functionality and features a high-resolution, high-contrast memory-in-pixel (MIP) LCD display. Easy operability even without looking at the buttons, large non-slip buttons, a curved back for comfort, and a soft urethane strap.

In addition to charging via USB, the watch offers a solar charging function for daily use, such as frequent use of the vibration alarm function. The new G-SHOCK is the optimal watch for daily monitoring of one's health, as well as any sports and fitness training.

The GBD-H1000 will be available in four different color variants at the end of April for an MSRP of €399.
