Allmountain ski 2014/15

Allmountain

All-mountain is still a young term in the ski industry, it came up only in recent years, when they began to provide the previously existing carving skis with a rocker (more bent up shovel) to expand the range of use of the ski and make it suitable for light powder and deep snow in addition to the slopes. Today, all major labels have a more or less respectable all-mountain range ready. The all-mountain ski is the hybrid of carving ski (pure piste) and freeride ski (pure deep snow), an all-rounder, so to speak.

Men

Elan Amphibio

ELAN AMPHIBIO

This winter, the Slovenian ski manufacturer Elan continues what it introduced so successfully in 2011/12, the Amphibio line, which goes its own way in terms of rocker technology. Elan is the only major ski manufacturer to use an asymmetrical rocker and combine classic preload for full edge grip with the trendy rocker technology for easier turn initiation. However, the success of the line is not based solely on the unique rocker concept. The model line also impresses with its unique design, which was developed by the Porsche Design Studio. This season, skiers can choose from six models that differ both in dimensions and in the materials used, such as wood core, titanium inserts and sidewalls. For the first time, a new color is also added: Orange.
Rossignol 14-15 Allmountain2

ROSSIGNOL EXPERIENCE

Four years ago, the French ski manufacturer Rossignol first launched the Experience line in response to the theme of "rocker" and "all-mountain" skis that emerged at the time and became the big topic in the industry. Rossignol was and is one of the leading brands when it comes to all-mountain. In this year's series, Rossignol has adopted a new technology that made a splash last year in the "7-Series" freeride series, namely the "Air Tip" technology in the shovel. To this is added, tested over years, the "Auto Turn Rocker" rear and front with 30% rocker portion to 70% bias. The extended waist "Extended Sidecut" provides better edge grip at high speeds and greater agility at lower speeds. Individual models also feature a core of 30% lighter Paulownia wood. Swinging on and off the slopes thus becomes a real pleasure.

Dynastar model line-Powertrack

DYNASTAR POWERTRACK

This winter season, French ski manufacturer Dynastar introduces the new all-mountain line "Powertrack" to the market. Based on the concepts of freeride skis, the Powertrack models feature a 5-point waist or a waist that is oriented to 5 contact points of the ski. The models differ conceptually in their construction and materials used, such as titanal, fiberglass and carbon. The Powertrack models are powerful and convince with the pleasant swing release thanks to their Tip & Tail Rocker from Dynastar, which provides good lift in deeper or softer snow. A dynamic ski for different terrain and snow conditions.

Fischer model line motifs

FISHER MOTIVE

Austrian ski manufacturer Fischer, celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2014, continues this winter what it successfully started a few years ago, the Motive line in response to the demand for all-mountain skis.

K2 AMP model line

K2 AMP

In terms of all-mountain, the American ski brand K2 is the leader today. It is the brand that has initiated and started the whole rocker and all-mountain history. K2 has nothing to do with racing today, but all the more with fun on and off the slopes!

Ladies

Elan Women Studio Allmountain

It is not so self-evident that a ski manufacturer offers an extensive range for women's skis in the all-mountain segment. Elan does this effectively. Women will find a wide selection of skis at Elan that are suitable both on and off the slopes. There are actually three lines involved. First are the models with the Amphibio rocker and the Fusion binding system, second are the models with the Quick Trick binding system and the Early Rise rocker, and last but not least are the Twilight skis, which we will introduce separately. Elan boasts that its Delight QT model is the lightest women's ski in the world. The model comparisons show the individual differences between the skis.

Elan All Mountain Woman Twilight

Elan Women Studio Twilight

Elan really has a diverse all-mountain range ready for ladies with Amphibio models and Early Rise Rocker models. The Twilight line is actually the expansion of the "Delight" model, the lightest women's ski, as Elan proudly proclaims, which allow for even more deep snow with wider center widths. Less technology also means less weight. That's why the three female-styled models get by with a little less technology. Thanks to rocker on the shovel, low weight and wider center widths, the Twilight models are suitable for even more deep snow fun without having to give up the slopes because of it.

Dynastar model line-Neva

Dynastar Neva

It is quite amazing and impressive how much women-specific technologies the Dynastar brand develops for its women's skis. The secret behind this is a team of women who are solely responsible for the development of women's skis at Dynastar and who go about it with a lot of passion and energy. Thus, the all-mountain models "Neva" are also packed with women-specific technologies such as S4, Infinity Profile, Paulownia Woodcore or Light technology. And this concentrated load of women's power for extremely attractive prices, as man amazes not bad.Since one can only wish one thing: Have fun in the powder and on the slopes!

Rossignol-14-15-Women-AM

Rossignol Temptation

At Rossignol, equality clearly reigns in the all-mountain segment. The all-mountain line "Temptation" has the same technological highlights as its male counterparts, including, for example, the new "Air Tip" technology. The fun off-piste can begin!

K2 Women Potion Allmountain model line

K2 Potion

Of the total of eight models, women skiers can choose from the two models 74 XTI and 72, which offer good performance on hard snow. Equipped with a speed rocker, narrow center widths and high preload, they are the right models for ladies who are looking for a fast ride on well-prepared slopes. With the other six models for all-mountain use, ladies have plenty of choice to find the right ski for their preferred use. As the center width increases, so does the deep snow capability of the ski, which score highly in terms of float and ease of turn with the All-Terrain Rocker. A pleasure on the whole mountain.

Fischer Women Adventure

Fischer Women Adventure

The "Koa" models from Fischer are made for ladies who feel comfortable both on and off the slopes and need correspondingly tolerant ski material. The 5 models are equipped with all-mountain or freeski rocker, which provide buoyancy in powder and high turning ability. Air Tec and carbon technology ensure women-specific low weight of the skis.
