The 2015 Dakar Rally is in its starting blocks. In 2015, 163 motorcyclists, 45 quad riders, 140 car teams and 63 truck teams will take part in the legendary desert rally. Since the end of November, around 700 vehicles have been on their way by ship to the Euroamerica port near Buenos Aires, Argentina. In Buenos Aires, the biggest rally in the world will start on January 4, 2015, to end about 9000 km and 13 days later back in Buenos Aires. A few hours after the turn of the year, the first participants will start the technical and administrative formalities in "Tecnopolis", the large exhibition center in the northeast of Buenos Aires. On January 3, 2015, a large crowd is expected at the Presidential Palace "La Casa Rosada" to cheer the participants at the starting podium between 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
