Sporty e-biking in Ratschings: high-altitude flights with tail wind

The Alpine pearl Ratschings in South Tyrol focuses on soft mobility and offers a unique service for e-bikes in alpine areas. In summer, guided e-bike tours are offered, and e-bikes can also be rented for several days at various stations. For those who would like to discover mountain biking with an e-mountain bike for themselves, the Jaufental, Ratschingstal and Ridnauntal valleys offer mountain bike tours of all levels of difficulty.

The mountains rise majestically as far as the eye can see. The Ridnaun Valley stretches all the way up to the Übeltalferner, the largest glacier in South Tyrol. In the distance, at 3,195 meters above sea level, the Becherhaus can be seen. Hikers walk seven hours from Maiern in the Ridnaun Valley to the highest refuge in South Tyrol. Of course, no one has to go that high by mountain bike or e-bike. The alpine terrain can also be explored in combined bike-and-hike tours. A beautiful, signposted bike tour leads to the Aglsbodenalm (1,717 m), from where you can hike to the glacier and the mountain peaks.

But even those who don't want to go so high will find plenty of variety in the Ratschings, Jaufen and Ridnaun valleys. The Ridnaun Valley up to Maiern in particular shows its lovely side, which can be easily explored by e-bike in an afternoon tour from Sterzing or Gasteig. The fresh mountain air, the snow-covered mountain peaks, the absolute silence at night - all this fills you from the inside out and awakens a tremendous drive.
