Rossignol 7-Series, 2017/18

Rossignol 7-Series

The 7-Series, which this winter runs under the name Freeride, which it is, has undergone a major overhaul in terms of concept and design. The Air-Tip technology on the shovel has been revised and shows up with a clearly recognizable honeycomb structure in the version 2.0. In addition, the series has been expanded with the model "Seek 7", which shines with its low weight. The unique line for freeriders has been topped again on the winter 2017/18!

Ski technology

Light Wood

An ultra-lightweight Paulownia wood core construction with air channels reduces the overall weight of the skis by 30% for increased agility, maneuverability and control without compromising downhill performance.

Free Vas

Perfect symbiosis of paulownia wood core and air-tip blade, provides smoothness and low vibration when switching from one type of snow to another and better control of the ski.

Paulownia + Cell Skikern

Designed for lightweight freetouring, Microcell and Paulownia wood strips are combined into a featherweight ski core to combine ultra-light energy, impact absorption and stability.

Cap

ROSSITOP tip caps strengthen the ski, protect it against damage and make it more resistant with faster reaction.

Minicap sandwich

The ultra-strong construction appears with wood core, 30° sidewalls, fiberglass and high-tech laminates. The Mini Caps protect the ski tips and prevent damage with improved durability. The sidewalls are 30′ turned up, which improves swing weight and reduces overall ski weight for better edge grip and resistance.

Central Dualtec

A combination of the best features of sandwich and tip guard construction. The tip guard improves the ski's durability and simplifies rebound, while the traditional sidewalls under the boot provide sharp, direct edge pressure. The benefits of the combined constructions produce a soft flex and strong edging for comfortable ski control.

Centered Sidecut

A shorter waist just under the boot combined with a unique beveled tip and tail. The deep radius under the boot provides edge grip and power where you need it, while the shorter lengths of the waist allow for easy and playful steering.

Sidewall

Sidewall construction incorporates a layering principle of core material (wood, fiberglass, metal, etc.) and vertical sidewalls along the entire length of the ski to optimize edge grip, precision, balance and power.

Air Tip 2.0

The new reinforced 3D design Air Tip 2.0 is lighter and stronger and provides even more agility. Air Tip is a Rossignol patented technology in which the shovel has a honeycomb-like structure filled with air. This makes the shovel lighter and shifts the weight towards the center of the ski, which produces improved maneuverability and ease of turning.

Powder Turn Rocker

The Powder Turn Rocker is one of three types of rocker that Rossignol uses. The shovel and ski ends of 50% are equipped with rocker and 50% has classic preload under the ski binding. The strong rocker on the shovel provides the buoyancy iom deep snow, the rocker at the ski end for easier turning and better ride control.

Carbon Alloy Matrix

A new fabric that heralds a new era of highly efficient materials for the construction of skis. Carbon Alloy Matrix is a combination of carbon and basalt fibers. Carbon provides lift, lightness and good power transmission, basalt provides stability and impact absorption. The new fabric increases the performance, grip, precision, stability and maneuverability of the ski.
