Carbon is something exquisite, high-quality. Carbon bikes are accordingly more expensive, after all they are much lighter and of course much more modern. High class, in other words. But what does a carbon bike lover do if the frame of his luxury bike is damaged because he fell with it or because it simply fell over? Carbon splinters and this kind of damage looks ugly. In addition, stability is sometimes no longer guaranteed. If you go to a traditional bike dealer, they can only offer one thing: buy and fit a new and very expensive carbon frame. But there is another solution. You can actually repair carbon. The prerequisite is that you know experienced carbon professionals.

We usually write about sports equipment such as skis at Sportguide and present and test such products, but in this case, during the course of a conversation with the management, we heard that the company also offers carbon repairs. I was surprised myself that this exists and of course quickly recognized the added value. Why buy a new carbon part for a lot of money when you can repair it much more cheaply? That makes sense. For some time now, Radical Sports in Zurich-Wollishofen has been successfully offering its customers the opportunity to repair their damaged carbon parts. Many retailers are naturally happy when a customer comes into the shop with a broken ski. Nobody wants to lose a lot of money. After the corona pandemic and the war in Ukraine, people are holding on to their money, following the motto: you never know what will happen. Anyone who wants to pursue their sport, hobby and passion should not be punished with an expensive purchase obligation if an accident occurs. Many people will not even know it, as was the case with me, but broken skis, snowboards, bicycles and much more can be repaired equally well and thus save a lot of money.
