Davide Codoni is the new director of Swiss Snowsports.

As of January 2020, Davide Codoni has taken over the director role from Riet R. Campell, who served as director for 30 years. In the selection process for the new director, which took place in the summer of 2019, Davide Codoni prevailed. "He convinced the board with his extraordinary skills, his perfect network to the organizations important to Swiss Snowsports, his multilingualism, his quick thinking as well as his pronounced affinity for snow sports," expressed the president of Swiss Snowsports, Jürg Friedli. Davide Codoni studied business and economics in Washington DC as well as in Geneva. "Professionally, I have gained experience in various fields, but my specialty is sports and tourism. Among other things, I was deputy head of the federal government's tourism policy at SECO as well as a consultant for Federal Councillors Johann N. Schneider-Ammann and Guy Parmelin, with whom I always strongly advocated the promotion of snow sports," says Davide Codoni. "I am looking forward enormously to this new challenge, will give only the best for snow sports".

"To be the world's reference in snow sports" - a vision that has it all
In view of the upcoming change of directors, the board of Swiss Snowsports has specifically dealt with the vision as well as the mission of the association in the past months and has elaborated and formulated some important strategic guiding principles. Davide Codoni will play an important role in achieving the formulated goals. One thing is clear - according to the motto "standstill is regression", the signs are pointing to evolutionary change. With a competent director at the helm, the association looks to the future with confidence and looks forward to continuing to develop and shape snowsports in a sustainable manner in the future.
