Tours Ski 2014/15

Tours

Ski tours are a special experience. Whether one-day or multi-day tours, you are independent of lifts and railroads on the way to untouched winter landscapes and closer to the mountain world than any conventional piste skier. This form of skiing poses other dangers, such as avalanches, and places different demands on equipment. In particular, a low weight is a main criterion but also the different abilities to cope with deep snow and the correspondingly different types of rocker.

Elan Touring

Elan Touring

Ski tourers will pay particular attention to lugging around as little weight as possible and still having a ski under their feet that provides them with the necessary support in deep snow. With the "Bridge" technology Elan provides a concept that ensures low weight and optimal power transmission. This is joined by a strong mountain rocker for easier turning.

Backside

With "Backside" K2 refers to the range for the touring sector. Here, the American manufacturer has both models ready, which are suitable for multi-day tours as well as models that allow the fun on the descent through untouched deep snow. The lowest possible weight thanks to the consistent use of Paulownia wood cores, a long, flat shovel bend with the All-Terrain Rocker and corresponding sidecuts ensure the appropriate touring pleasure.

Fisher Model Line Tour

Fishermen tour

Fischer Sports has really come up with something for this winter and developed a new touring collection with the new "Aeroshape" technology, with which the skis are flattened towards the outer sides and thus curved. Thanks to Paulownia wood cores and Air Tech technology, with which the core is milled offset, it was possible to significantly reduce weight. The effect: the skis weigh between 950-1500 grams, apart from the ultra-light racing ski Alpattack with 650 grams. The lightweight touring skis are therefore particularly suitable for longer tours, which thanks to Tour Rocker - bending up 3-4 mm over a length of 25-35 cm depending on the model - are also ideally suited for descents through deep snow. In addition, Fischer Sports can offer an ultra-comfortable, new VACUUM touring ski boot to go with its touring skis. The perfect package.

Dynastar Tour

Dynastar Free Touring

Dynastar offers no less than three different ski concepts for ski tourers and backcountry enthusiasts this winter. These include two "Cham Alti" models, three "Cham High Mountain" models and two "Pierra Menta" models. The Cham Alti models are about classic ski touring, the wider Cham High Mountain, which are really nothing more than lighter Cham Freeride models, are about backcountry deep snow riding, and the ultra-light Pierra Menta models are about racing.

Dynafit

The Dynafit brand, which specializes in ski touring and is part of the Salewa sports group based in outdoor sports, currently offers 13 different touring skis. It serves four different segments: classic touring skis, racing skis, backcountry skis and all-round touring skis for versatile use. Whether wide, whether narrow, whether light or more capable of deep snow, Dynafit has something in its range for all ski tourers and ski mountaineers. This is the great strength of Dynafit. The range is complemented by a corresponding range of touring ski boots and ski touring and outdoor clothing.

K2 Talkback

Last but not least, K2 has also made three very beautiful touring skis for the ladies, which are almost as light as a feather thanks to the use of Paulownia wood cores and do not immediately lead to overtiredness even on longer ski tours. For good lift in soft snow also provides the All-Terrain Rocker.

Dynastar Women Tour

The Cham W models from Dynastar are actually the female counterpart to the Cham High Mountain models for men. The progressive levitation profile and a powerful rocker on the shovel are the same, but the finish here makes a flat pintail. In addition, the skis are again about 25% lighter than the male "colleagues" and thus more versatile. The two Cham Alti W models correspond to the Cham Alti models for men and are made for classic ski touring.
