Dynafit touring ski 2014/15
The Dynafit brand, which specializes in ski touring and is part of the Salewa sports group based in outdoor sports, currently offers 13 different touring skis. It serves four different segments: classic touring skis, racing skis, backcountry skis and all-round touring skis for versatile use. Whether wide, whether narrow, whether light or more capable of deep snow, Dynafit has something in its range for all ski tourers and ski mountaineers. This is the great strength of Dynafit. The range is complemented by a corresponding range of touring ski boots and ski touring and outdoor clothing.
The all-round models for versatile use
Dynafit offers 2014/15 six different touring ski models that are very versatile, whether for classic ski touring, speed touring or backcountry adventures. Depending on the lightness and width of the model is more suitable for one or the other use. Common to all is high stability, optimal weight, a wide shovel for good deep snow behavior and a practical fur attachment.

The models for classic ski touring
The following three models are skis for classic ski touring, whose focus is less on deep snow descent and more on the ascent as a highlight. They stand for stability, precision and good climbing properties and bring the ski mountaineer safely back home.

The two models for racers and speed tourers
The following models from Dynafit are thoroughbred race ski models for racing and speed touring. The smallest dimensions and lightest weight are the measure of all things, after all, the goal is to climb the mountain as quickly as possible with the skis.

TECHNOLOGIES
Flex Tip
The 3-D carbon construction makes the flex tip (blade concept) the lightest component with high load capacity and strong damping behavior. Shocks are absorbed harmoniously, the carbon insert shows a highly reactive damping behavior. The 3-D geometry reduces mass and weight... The slim design of the shovel on the "Nanga Parbat" and "Cho Oyu" models ensures minimized self-steering behavior when skiing at an angle.
Carbon Speed Stringer
Dynafit lightweight construction systems are designed for binding systems to become increasingly stiff, skiing styles to become sportier and speeds to increase on descents. That is why Dynafit uses carbon roving stringers above and below the ski core. The vibration damping and the return behavior of the ski are thus optimized.
Micro Sidewall
The sidewall material is reduced in order to optimally save weight. The horizontal use of the sidewalls with greater depth results in 1.5 times higher impact strength.
3 Piece Sidewall
The ABS sidewall is used in the shovel area, at the ski binding and at the end of the ski. This is a compromise between weight reduction, lightweight construction and impact resistance.
Scoop Rocker
Uniformly rising shovel rocker, which ensures smooth running, reduces the self-steering behavior of the ski, increases the turning ability of the ski and reduces the risk of blending.
Dual radius
Combination of large front radius and small rear radius. The ski acts power-saving at large radii and turns easily at small ones.
Triple radius
The additional radius of 20 m in the binding area provides perfect edge grip. This was developed especially for wide skis. The smaller radius, where the ski is stiffest, gives the ski mountaineer the security he needs.
Tail Rocker
Gently rising rocker to control high speeds well even in steep, icy terrain. The extended upturn at the end of the ski ensures neutral steering behavior and prevents the skis from blending. Thanks to rocker construction, the ski becomes more turn-friendly overall.
Pintail
The reduced buoyancy provides an effort-saving position above the ski at high speeds. The pointed end of the ski can also be guided more quickly and easily into the holding device of the backpack.
Full Sidewall
Impact-resistant ABS is used over the entire edge length from the steel edge to the top layer in order to absorb maximum impact effects such as those caused by hitting a stone/rock. This design also optimizes the direct power transmission from the binding/ski boot to the edge.
