Elan Touring with specific model for women
Elan complements this winter its existing touring ski range with the new women's model "Makalu". In exchange, the Triglav model for racers has been taken out of the program. The ultra-small market for racers is hardly profitable for ski manufacturers and no longer fit into the concept. Design-wise, the skis have developed positively, the technology has been continued from last winter and ski tourers should certainly be happy about the women's specific model.

Mountain Rocker
Moderate rocker in the ski tip for better lift, easy turn initiation and steering in different snow conditions. Good stability on slopes due to low to normal preload.
Earl Rise Rocker
Moderate rocker in the ski tip and tail. This allows skiers a harmonious turn with less effort.
Bridge
Reduced weight and increased performance in one. Corrugations under the binding area guarantee torsional stability. The bridged carbon fibers allow optimal power transmission throughout the ski.
Trulite wood core
Lightweight, women's specific tip-to-tail wood core, made from carefully selected wood species. Perfectly suited for ladies models.
Laminated wood core
This tip-to-tail laminated wood core is specially designed for each model and length. Different wood types in different combinations allow the best solution for each application. This stable and durable wood core transfers power directly to the edge and offers tremendous versatility.
GruvLite technology
This new innovative technology reduces the weight of the ski without compromising its stability and other performance characteristics. The wood core is cut several times lengthwise and the wood content is reduced accordingly.
WaveLight
Waves allow a soft flex and at the same time high stability. Due to the wave shape, the ski can be built thinner and lighter.
Monoblock
A wood laminate that runs to the edge, providing direct power transmission and high torsional rigidity.
Fiberglass
Above or below the wood core, fiberglass optimizes the properties of the ski and provides a harmonious flex and good torsional stiffness.
Carbon
Carbon is the lightest material and provides enormous reinforcements. It can be used specifically where it is needed.
SST sidewalls
Beveled sidewalls bring out the benefits of a durable construction without making the ski overly stiff and heavy.
PST sidewalls
A cap construction for greater lightness, combined with a sidewall, for maximum edge grip. Powerful yet playful when needed.
